New challenge in Periodontal Regeneration: focus on the Interproximal attachment and the patient’s aesthetic

Webinar DETAILS

In modern dentistry, the growing demand for aesthetic outcomes presents a major challenge in periodontology. Beyond functional success, achieving optimal aesthetics—especially in anterior regions where patient expectations are highest—has become a priority.

A comprehensive understanding of periodontal wound healing biology is essential to ensure predictable and successful outcomes. The latest classification of periodontal diseases emphasizes the importance of the interdental clinical attachment level. While traditional reconstructive periodontal techniques have focused on regenerating infrabony defects or covering gingival recessions separately, advancements in regenerative plastic surgery now allow for the simultaneous treatment of both conditions.

Recent developments in clinical and biological regenerative concepts, biomaterials, and surgical techniques provide new opportunities to meet patient demands while achieving long-term, predictable regeneration of interdental attachment in compromised teeth.

OBJECTIVES

  • How to classify interproximal periodontal defects and papilla loss.
  • How to plan the treatment for interproximal attachment loss.
  • The latest surgical techniques and biological concepts for interproximal attachment gain.
  • Which biomaterials to use in different clinical scenarios.
