Modern prosthodontics is no longer defined solely by the restoration of form and function—it has evolved into an art that harmonizes facial aesthetics, biomechanics, and precision. The course “Modern Approach: Functional & Aesthetical Rehabilitation” offers a comprehensive pathway that bridges theory and hands-on experience, guiding clinicians to plan, design, and execute restorations that integrate seamlessly with the patient’s functional and aesthetic parameters.
This intensive three-day program is led by internationally recognized experts in prosthodontics and aesthetic dentistry, focusing on how to design and deliver restorations that achieve both biological harmony and long-term stability. The course begins with the principles of facially driven treatment planning, emphasizing a diagnostic approach that starts from facial analysis and extends to the final prosthetic design. Participants will explore how functional parameters—such as occlusion, VDO management, and temporomandibular balance—shape aesthetic predictability and patient comfort.
During the first sessions, clinicians will learn to conduct a complete aesthetic and functional analysis through the study of facial, dento-labial, phonetic, dental, and gingival parameters, integrating traditional and digital workflows. The program also introduces diagnostic wax-up and mock-up techniques as essential tools for treatment visualization, communication, and patient validation.
Subsequent modules delve into tooth preparation concepts, covering both traditional and modern minimally invasive protocols. Participants will analyze indications, margin designs, and biomechanical principles for veneers, overlays, and full-arch rehabilitations.
Through guided exercises, they will also explore advanced impression methods, soft-tissue management, and cementation techniques designed to ensure durability and aesthetic integration.
Finally, the hands-on sessions will allow participants to put theory into practice by performing modern preparations on models, creating silicone indices for precision control, and applying adhesive protocols to achieve reliable and natural-looking restorations.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Develop an in-depth understanding of aesthetic and functional principles for prosthetic rehabilitation on both teeth and implants.
Perform comprehensive facial, dental, and functional analyses to create treatment plans driven by the patient’s anatomy and needs.
Apply minimally invasive tooth preparation techniques that preserve dental structures while ensuring precision and longevity.
Design and fabricate provisional restorations using direct, indirect, and modified indirect techniques.
Select appropriate materials and adhesive protocols for durable, natural-looking results.
The practical training will guide participants step-by-step through modern preparation designs for veneers, full veneers, buccal-occlusal veneers, and table-top restorations. They will learn to select appropriate burs, fabricate silicone indices for lateral, occlusal, and frontal verification, and use these tools to refine precision in clinical execution.
