Lecturer on Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity
Dr. Irina Dragan is board certified and an examiner for the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She is part-time faculty in postgraduate periodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and an adjunct associate professor of periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM). She received multiple awards, including the 2016 Presidential Citation from the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), and represented ADEA in the landmark project ADEA/ADEE “Shaping the Future of Dental Education”, serving as the first author for the 2017 and 2019 position papers compiled by the ADEA/ADEE WG “Science and Technology”. She is a past Chair of the ADEA SIG on Career Development and served many years as a Faculty Advisor for the ADEA Tufts Student Chapter. Her clinical practice is focused on practice-based research and is limited to periodontology and implant dentistry at The Perio Studio, in downtown Boston, MA.
