South Africa Immediate Implant Protocols

About the Program

This intensive programme combines world-class implant education with a once-in-a-lifetime South African adventure. Under the guidance of Dr. Howie Gluckman, participants will explore the biological rationale and clinical applications of Immediate Implant Placement and Partial Extraction Therapies, including Socket Shield, Submerged Root, and advanced soft tissue preservation concepts. The course integrates scientific foundations with hands-on practice, enabling clinicians to refine their surgical precision and gain clarity in treatment planning for complex implant cases.

The educational sessions begin in Cape Town, where delegates dive into immediate implant protocols, prosthodontic and surgical planning, and step-by-step placement and provisionalisation workflows. Through guided model work, participants learn to navigate clinical indications, master IIP preparation, and perform immediate provisionalisation with confidence. The following day is dedicated to PET, allowing clinicians to understand the rationale behind partial extraction, the nuances of ridge preservation, and the evidence-based approach that supports long-term stability.

The programme culminates with an extraordinary three-day luxury safari in Kruger National Park, offering delegates a restorative experience in the heart of the African wilderness. Between sunrise and sunset game drives, guests will enjoy premium accommodation at the exclusive Shalati Train on the Bridge, fine dining, relaxation areas, and unforgettable moments immersed in nature.

  • biological,
  • surgical, and
  • prosthodontic foundations of immediate implant placement and PET and
  • will be able to integrate these protocols into daily practice with confidence.

The course equips clinicians with the knowledge to preserve tissue form, execute step-by-step workflows, manage complications, and achieve predictable long-term functional and aesthetic outcomes in challenging implant scenarios.

Hands-On & Practical Focus

The hands-on component offers a structured, step-by-step approach to immediate implant placement, provisionalisation, and PET execution on models.

Participants will work through precise protocols designed to replicate clinical conditions, gaining tactile familiarity with Socket Shield, Submerged Root, and related PET techniques.

This practical immersion allows clinicians to refine their accuracy, understand surgical nuances, and elevate decision-making for real-world cases.
