“Maintain or recreate the volume” has always been a dilemma for the clinician the last decades affecting the treatment choice and often the clinical outcome. Immediate implants seem to gain again more trust since better hardware and software are being used.
Dr. Stavros Pelekanos completed his undergraduate studies in Dentistry at the University of Athens, Greece, in 1991.
Currently, he serves as a faculty member at the gIDE Institute in Los Angeles, California, conducting international lectures and hands-on courses that cover topics such as implants, esthetics, and restorative procedures. Dr. Pelekanos earned second and first prizes at the scientific award competition of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry in 2008 and 2011, held in Madrid, Spain, and Istanbul, Turkey, respectively.
With over twenty articles published in peer-reviewed journals and two chapters in books, Dr. Pelekanos has made significant contributions to the field. In 2002, he became a full-time Lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Dental School, University of Athens, Greece, and currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the same department.
Dr. Stavros Pelekanos established a private practice in Athens, specializing in prosthodontics, implantology, and esthetic dentistry.
