Lecturer on Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity
Dr. Pierluigi Balice is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant surgeon. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree summa cum laude from the University of Bari, Italy, before completing a three-year specialty training program in periodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he also earned a Master of Dental Science degree.
Before joining the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, he served as a full-time clinical professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. His commitment to dental education extends to his role as a visiting lecturer at the New York University College of Dentistry.
With dual licensure in both the United States and Europe, Balice is actively engaged in global professional organizations and contributes to the advancement of periodontics and implant dentistry. He is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish.
